Default Heads drilled for single plane intake question

So I have to send one of my AFR heads off for repair after the dropped valve, and I was thinking of having the head drilled to allow a SBC single plane intake to be bolted on. I know most people drill the intake for the LT1 pattern, but could the heads be drilled to accept BOTH intake styles? For example, allow me to continue to use the LT4 intake but if I want to go single plane later it would just bolt on? I've seen where people have had the LT1 bolt holes welded up and the heads drilled for the SBC pattern, but they don't appear to be in the same locations on the head, so would a dual intake pattern work on the heads?

Its going to be tight, if you look at the intake below the two patterns are LT1 and SBC. (My assumption at least) Those center holes may be tough for a machinist to drill and thread with out ruining nearby threads. Remember this is lousy aluminum.

The easiest way would probably be drilling/tapping the 4 center bolts (2 per side) for the SBC intake on the LT1 heads, then using angle washers for the rest when running a single plane. I believe the washers are 17* and some of the bolt holes in the SBC mani will have to be slotted. Wouldn't interfere with the LT4 intake at all.
