Default EGR Plates

So my 95 z is in the shop to get LT's installed. I just got a call that the egr is still intact. I thought it was already deleted. Anyone have a good source for the plate? And I assume I will need 2? Thanks

How much of an issue will I have driving the car back home after blocking off the ports without a tune?

I believe you'll just have a check engine light. Don't think I changed anything in the tune other than turning off the light.

Thanks!

I thought I remember only OBDII will set off a code if unplugged and not OBDI. Also, for future reference you can simply make your own block off plate. Get some aluminum stock and an EGR gasket, trace the pattern drill the holes... Also the only port you have to block off is the actual EGR port on the drivers side. You do not have to worry about the passenger side ports.

If the light would be generated (at least for OBDII) it's because of the diagnostic circuit being broken because the EGR solenoid would be unplugged. Honestly I don't know if it'd do that with a '95 car? They are wonky because of the transition between OBDI and II.
If it were me I'd keep the EGR on if running a stock cam. Once you go to something more aggressive than stock I'd delete it. You can fix any fuel issues through a tune, BUT I can't really recall anyone having trouble removing the EGR with the stock cam and having fuel issues. Sorry, I'm old and have trouble remembering things from five minutes ago...

I'm just doing it because the long tubes don't have provisions for egr.

Honestly I think you'll be fine. If you are concerned, take your car to any dyno shop with a wide band and do some pulls.

I used a resistor on my ‘94 to keep it from throwing a code/turning on the check engine light when I deleted EGR. I don’t know if I ever confirmed it was actually necessary, but that was certainly my impression at the time.
