Default Ported Heads - Header Gaskets

I know there's already hundreds of "what's the best header gasket" threads out here, but this one is slightly different, and I wasn't able to find anything about the topic.

I have LE1 ported heads, and I'm going to be installing brand new Stainless Works headers. Having read as many of the threads as I could stand, I decided on the layered aluminum that was Percy's, now Taylor. Looking at them though, I see the d-shaped ports are only 1.38" x 1.38". I'm concerned if that's an appropriate size for my ported heads.

My car is assembled and running, and I have to have the new gaskets ready to install before I tear it down, so I asked Lloyd Elliot what size the ports are on my heads, and for whatever reason (top secret classified proprietary specifications?) he wouldn't tell me.

Just wondering if anyone has experience with this? I've had the car dyno tuned, and will again after the header swap, I just don't want to mess up the flow. I see other manufacturers offer different sizes, I just don't know what's best.

Thanks for your thoughts.

I have LE2's and used Fel-Pro 1406 gaskets. No issues with those so far.

Thanks for the reply! Like I said, I'd rather stay away from those, long story. The 1406 ports are 1.53 x 1.63", so I still don't know if the 1.38x1.38 of the Percy's is too small for the LE1 ports. Anyone using Percy's LT1 gaskets with ported heads?
