Default Intake manifold

So ya I missread the shoebox torque specs, and did 71 foot pounds instead of inch pounds, but only on one bolt (because then common sense kicked in) do I take it all apart, buy new gaskets and do it all over again? Or is it fine with the one bolt…. Rest are 35 ft pounds

Are you saying that you want to LEAVE 1 bolt at 71 ft/lbs? Are you seriously even asking this? And when you say the others are at 35 ft/lbs I really hope you mean in/lbs. I actually can't even believe you put 71 ft/lbs on it without it snapping considering the torque on a head bolt is around 65 ft/lbs so maybe get your torque wrench calibrated. Anyways I'd take the bolts out and take the manifold off and check the gasket and make sure it isn't crushed so you aren't doing it later, it's much easier now. Then put it back together (with new gaskets if needed) and torque it down in IN/LBS. I believe an intake manifold is 1st pass at 44 in/lbs and 2nd pass at 88 in/lbs but someone can chime in I'm mistaken.

Loosen all bolts and retorque properly. I've always done two passes- First to 15ftlbs and second to 35ft lbs. Follow the proper torque sequence. You risk warping the manifold if you leave just one bolt torqued. Have the intake gaskets been heat cycled? If so, I'd buy new ones. If not, torque properly and send it.

I do apologize that was the spec for an LS intake manifold thanks for chiming in. I'd still check that gasket but I doubt the OP is the first person to ever do this.
