Has anyone ever replaced a door handle? My clip broke and upon ordering a new clip it came with a new handle but there are no threads in the new handle to bolt it down. When I looked at the old one without unbolting I noticed possibly no threads in the old one aswell. So I just took the new clip off the new handle and added it to the old handle.

ps this is on the drivers side outside handle.

 

I replaced both years ago. It's pretty easy. I thought it was a couple nuts holding each one. Here is a thread with a pic of one of the nuts.
