Another valve spring question

In regards to the choices, just keep in mind that you are running a stock camshaft. You don't want springs that are designed to handle aggressive cam lobes and high lifts. That's just energy wasted by the motor to overcome the higher pressures.

Either way, I gave you four valve spring options earlier in the thread. If you don't want to buy the retainers for the beehive springs, then there were three other drop-in options.

Comp 787-16 use to be $50ish but seen them for $70ish or if lucky cheaper like mentioned Amazon $63 But prices do fluctuate on Amazon. Just bought some valves for $54 and now they are $52 but others have them for $79 or higher.
I got super lucky n scored 1787-16 for $45 and I know they are legit cause I have a few sets already. Tho this set a few had a bit of pitting on the tops, n very very light rust. Nothing the tumbler couldn't fix
and I'll use em on a mild project anyway. I'd trust em over moly still, Tool steel is Nice! Doesn't wear nearly as much as moly or other steel retainers.
I even got 10 sets of Titanium atm, you don't wanna know what I paid for those LOL
Tool steel is the way to go these days. It is only a slight weight penalty over titanium, but has the wear characteristics of a standard steel retainer.
