'93 Formula sound system.

Time to replace the speakers in my Formula. OEM's no longer available, will any speaker the same size work? Not looking to go the cheap route, just want to make sure what I install will work and won't mess up the OEM system. Thanks,

I honestly don't know. There aren't the usual Bose stickers you would normally see on the speaker grills.

If you have the stock head unit it would've said "Bose" for Camaros, or "Monsoon" for the Pontiac variety. If it's the stock head unit then yes, you would just need the size of the speakers and you will be able to find direct bolt in/plug and play.

Awesome, thank you. I remember the Monsoon now, mine is not that. Speakers are thirty years old. Uggg.

In 1993 there wasn’t a Monsoon system. They had a 4 speaker setup and a 10 speaker setup but they did not say MONSOON on the head unit. Monsoon didn’t start until 1997.

Do you still have have the factory cd deck? Im literally doing this on my 93 10 speaker. I have a Pioneer deck. I was told the tweeters don't go bad. I have bazooka 6.5 subs in the sails, Pioneer 6.5 in the doors and kosche 4" in the hatch. Both Pioneer and kosche were bought at Walmart. 4ohm for all. I havent had a chance to play with the13 levels my deck has. But even out of whack it sounds better and fuller than busted stock speakers.
