Default valve spring help?

So what I'm looking at doing is a 1.6 rocker arm upgrade( just roller tip) and a set of valve springs. So what i could tell was with the oem cam with 1.6 rockers the lift and duration was very comparable to that of a 1996 lt4 grand sport had. So I went online and bout a kit and it listed it as a direct replacement for the grand sport(96). the gm part number on the springs are 19154761 for the pack or 10212811 for each individual spring. the kit I ordered from speedway motors was 916-05081. Has anyone run this before? Its pretty budget but the engine in my car isn't wild and these are oem GM parts. I'm now wondering if these springs can handle that extra lift from some other stuff I saw. Help would be great. Thanks.

If those are the springs for a LT4, they are not a good upgrade for a LT1. LT4 used lighter, sodium filled, valves which the LT4 springs worked very well for. The heavier LT1 springs, not so much.

Summit notes max lift for those springs as .460. Your part # shows up as a NAL part, not GM

Thats weird. they are in a GM package with the gm symbol on them. these springs are found in the 602 crate engines. I've opted to get a different set of springs. I checked one and found the coil bind height of it vs. what the lift on it is after the installed height. Its to close and I'm not willing to risk it. I'm going with a set of Howards cams 98213 springs with the dampers removed. That gives me lots of room and good seat pressure and rate.

Good choice , like said earlier those lt4 springs were just enough to handle the lazy lt4 motor/cam they really aren't up to the task of handling any cam with aggressive lobes
