Actually not sure. I think I gave him .030 shorter pistons and he said they were good. I’m listening to videos of wrist pin failure and a video I took driving recently. Definitely sounds pretty close. That would explain not really losing oil pressure and not sounding as clunky as when I spun a rod bearing.

I think it's time to take it apart.

I agree. I think I did lose little bit of oil pressure as well. Nothing to really raise alarm but I do remember it being 5psi lower or so. Just figured it was hotter out. Guess well see I’ll probably yank it today

Good to see the SA tabs on the rockers. Unusual for the pushrods to be hitting the head, but the witness marks on the pushrods are showing they are hitting something for sure. If I recall properly, I have witness marks on my pushrods, but they are from the guideplates.

That don’t look right.. couple points for SS RRR. Definitely shouldn’t have happened in 1000 miles. 2 events ring a bell. One day I was cruising after just leaving the house and lost all oil pressure instantly and the motor started tapping. Drove probably 60 more seconds then shut it off. Restarted and had oil pressure. Next time I was slamming gears and heard a tap as I let off of redline in 5th or 6th. Was tapping for a few minutes and went away I think. This is the 3rd time I fried bearings in this motor but the first 2 times I polished and threw bearings at it. This was a complete rebuild with new crank, rods, and bearings. Going to assume I have an oil starvation issue

Oh wow, that is not good. It got really hot at some point. What do the other rod and crank bearings look like?
