What I would love to see as an off the shelf grind for the factory roller SBC and LT1 engines is an off the shelf selection of cams with the step nose and the LS firing order. Both in hydraulic and solid roller grinds. The aftermarket already makes a drop in solid roller lifter that uses the OE lifter retention hardware. I feel like a high rpm build using the 24x or 58x stuff would work extremely well with it.

 

I had asked Martin Smallwood about that very thing 5 years ago. Back then, he said the cam would be $600-$700 because no one makes that core.

I think Summit Racing might be the best bet since they are now offering the LS firing order on retrofit hydraulic roller cams.
