Default Push Button Ignition Mod – Thoughts?

I've finally got some extra money and am thinking about doing a couple mods on my 1996 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 SS. I'm thinking about changing out my ignition switch and adding a Push Button. I'm wondering if anyone has done this mod? I saw some kits on eBay but they look way too cheap and I don't trust Chinese crap anyway. I also found a couple systems made here in the states, one is by Flaming River who I know and trust; https://www.flamingriver.com/rfid-ke...nition-systems and another by www.digitalguarddawg.com/auto . They totally look like the same systems to me just with different names on the boxes. a big price difference though. Has anyone done this mod and used any of these systems? I'm wondering how hard they are to install?
The Guard Dawg company has a bunch of cool start buttons, https://www.digitalguarddawg.com/ike...tton-options-2 I can do basic wiring but don't want to get in over my head. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Well it would be a lot easier and cheaper, and almost as cool to do it race car style unless you want the whole modern car smart button starter with key fob remote start setup and all that jazz. But if all you really want is a push button to crank the starter, then that's pretty easy.

Install whichever you want if you like it. You'll have to resistor bypass the VATS antitheft in order to utilize push button and do away with the ignition key its no big deal just something to keep in mind.

Yeah, I thought about doing a simple race-style push button, but I really like the idea of getting rid of the ignition switch entirely and going full keyless. I don’t need remote start or anything fancy, just a more secure and modern setup. That’s why the RFID systems caught my eye—they won’t let the car start unless the right fob is present, which seems like a solid anti-theft feature. Have you ever used a system like that, or do you prefer to keep it old-school?

Thanks for the heads-up on the VATS resistor bypass—I hadn't looked into that yet. I like the idea of a full keyless setup where you don’t just add a push button but actually eliminate the ignition switch altogether. With RFID systems, you get the added security of only starting the car when the correct fob is present. Have you ever done a resistor bypass yourself, or do you know if it causes any issues down the line?
