Stamped VIN location help needed.
There is a partial VIN on the passenger side windshield pillar. Just peel back the weather stripping that seals the door window to the pillar and you should see it covered under some tape.
Thanks for the reply.
It's also stamped and covered with a translucent blue tape under the weather stripping on the passenger side windshield pillar. Same on a seam under the rear bumper cover where two body panels come together.
Also on the drivers side of the transmission, and the rear drivers side corner of the engine block. They are all stamped dot matrix style in these locations.
I'll look in the places you mentioned.
I looked on the block and tranny but nothing.
I had the car lifted and had great lighting and nothiy stamped.
I'll check the other places
Thanks.
They were pretty clean. I could swear it was smooth as butter. I saw some pics of the number stamped with dot pattern on the block and transmission. Mine look identical but no number. I'll defo look again very closely.....pillar as well.
Thanks again.

Partial Vin (Just plant code and sequence number) is found in the following areas.
1.Engine-either deck extension on the pass front, right below the head, or next to the oil filter.
2. Transmission pad
3. Top of cowl, underneath the cowl panel grill
4. front of cowl, below the heater box opening.
I finally found the VIN.
It was where many people suggested.
It was on the transmission housing where it bolts to the motor, just above/next to the oil filter.
I had looked there and felt for it and nothing.
I used a degreaser and there it was.....stamper with the dotted pattern stamping.
Thank you everyone!!!
Where in Ireland are you from? I love your country. We have been there on vacation quite a few times. I particularly enjoy the fishing and scenery in Donegal.
