WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE IN LT HEADERS AND SHORTIE HEADERS AND WHICH ONES ARE WORTH BUYING FOR AN LT1

Well obviously the long tubes are longer.....the primiaries to be exact. Anyways.....they make more hp and are def the better choice. Shorties provide minimal gain and are good if A. your car is slammed and you will hit the headers on everything. B. You have to pass a visual as well as sniffer emissions test or C. you want to retain your stock y pipe. If you are still looking into shorties then go ahead...however a LT header would be better and even though they are a bit more expensive with the corresponding y pipe they have better results.

good midlengths are also an option. and like the name suggests they are half way between shorties and longtubes. AS&M makes mid lengths as does a company called clear image automotive. www.clearimageautomotive.com they have a good rep with the impala guys.
