Default best heads

what are the best heads to but on a 95 383 stroker

-Cola forged 4340 lightweight 3.75" stroke, 1 piece rear main seal
-Splayed 4 bolt main caps with ARP studs
-6" forged 4340 Manley Sportsmaster rods
-Probe SRS forged pistons, flattop -2cc valve relief, lightweight pins, no oil support rail necessary
-B&M SFI flexplate
-Block was fully and professionally machined and reconditioned (neutral balanced, zero-decked, line honed, clearanced for stroker, etc)

thank you

AFR 215 Raised runner heads! Well maybe Brodix 18* heads modified to fit LT1.

other then that a set of 210 AFR heads make good power.

If those are to much a good set of Stock LT1 heads ported will make a ton of power. I would not waste my cash on the LT4 stuff...Oh wait I have and then sold it all off

I have heard good things about ported trick flows but you will lose a little compression

my first question would be what cam are you wanting to run? is it gonna be n/a, n2o, turbo, supercharged? i mean there's a couple questions i think first before deciding what head to use.

i would have to say TEA, but of course i have a set of TEA heads. they are getting really good flow numbers from their lt1 heads.

12:1 with 60cc. DAMN! I am coming in at over 12:1 with flat tops and 55cc Lloyd Elliot prepped heads. Flow Tech did the Machine work and it looks like they just got shaved .027.

For 90% of the people here a good set of ported LT1 heads will make over 400RWHP with a stock rear end

Agreed!

I'm gonna have to say that the AFR 215 raised runner heads are the best LT1/LT4 style heads you can get.

They are VERY expensive (close to 4 grand) and require exotic valve train parts like shaft mount rockers, but their flow numbers are unreal!

If money was no object, and I was building an LT1, these are the heads I would go with without thinking twice.

Just my $0.02

Don't forget that the AFR 215 RR heads require a custom intake manifold that will cost you around say $2000 on top of the $4000 heads .

I have known and dealt with Brian Tooley for quite a few years now and out of all the heads I have seen in 25+ years, his have to be the best workmanship. His flow #'s will be matched for any cam you want to run. Prices are quite reasonable and his parts are top of the line. Everyone has their own opinion. He's on the right as TEA---->

Ported LT's will be good man. I understand that you don't have a lot of $, neither do I but you don't have to spend 10000 on an enigne build just to be a terror on the street.

Just saw your movie file, Crap that car is awesome, can't wait till the 8th, installing my AFR heads and a few other goodies. My goal is mid to high 11s on motor, I've never put bottle on Peppe, not sure I ever will.

Really nice car you have. I also have a 12bolt and was wondering what offset your rear Prostars were? 6.5 or 7.5?
