air fuel gauge install instructions for 94/95
I just finished installing a narrow band air fuel guage on a 95 TA LT1 with the single cat, single oxy sensor.
I wanted to let folks (that want to do a similar installation) to tap the purple/white wire on the factory wire harness side of the oxy sensor for the correct signal. I tapped it 14 inches above the connector where the harness goes over the intake - the gauge info matches my data logger info and no check engine light, so all is good.
I wanted to post this because I read in another post on this site that you should tap the "pink" wire, not the purple. Maybe on later years, but on my car, it was the purple/white. I tapped the pink wire first (well, actually the on the factory side it is the yellow/white wire that connects to the pink wire on the oxy sensor) but did not get the proper signal.
Good luck!
