Maybe an LT1 is in my future
I have rolled this idea around my head for a few days, and haven't found a reason not to do it. Is there anything I need to consider? Something I haven't thought of?

"Intelligence is not your strongest trait."
Never had anyone admit they weren't intelligent.
Let me go back into the past and look at what I responded to.
. You have displayed animosity towards LS1 owners for not a single reason except for the fact that you wish you had one. If you have a bolt-on LT1, you will never be able to beat a mod for mod LS1. That is a fact. Please stop posing at LS1tech.com, newbie.
edit: I really am quite curious as to why you hate LS1's so much. Please answer that.

Guys- lay off him. He's already made enough of a fool of himself.
Let's get this thread back to where it was, and try not to turn it into an LT1 vs LS1 thread. Both are good motors and have their benefits and drawbacks.

You should make a sticky which has LS1 vs LT1 drawbacks for both.

Heres just something to put the mod for mod thing to rest. I raced my buddies 6 spd formy, it has longtubes, x pipe dumped. Ported lt1 heads, intake/airfoil shifter, 12bolt with a 373 gear, some subframes and a 150 shot. We raced, i beat him by 4 cars from 0 - 120. He didnt use the nitrous. I have longtubes, y hooker catback, Lid flter as my mods. LT1s are no joke. But LS1's have the tech aspect going for them. Lt1 is old school muscle design, and its great. Ls1s are the new SBC respect em both. Both have advantages.
Either way you go, the LT1 and the LS1 F-Body cars are a great choice. I would get one that you can get a good deal on, regardless of it being LT1 or LS1. However, when comparing my LS1 to an LT1, it seems that it is eaiser to work under my hood than an LT1. But maybe that's just me

this is a cool picture
