Question New Trick Flow Heads flow what?!

I'm very curious about these heads I saw in Summit. I know these heads have been talked about already but nothing was said about the Flow #'s right out of the box. They have 195cc Intake ports, 75cc Exhaust. They come with larger 2.02/1.60 valves as well. Let me know if you have any guesstiments or the facts...Thanks!

If they flow over 245cfm...(ls1) then they sound like a killer deal to me. ($850)

TFS states that these heads are the same that they use for GEN1 SBC's, only with reverse flow coolant passages....checking out their GEN1 head #'s would be a very accurate way to determine the LT1 #'s, according to TFS

IMO tho (unless that extra thickness at the deack is needed) having your stockers ported is a better bang for the buck
the valve size the TFS heads come with will be slightly shrouded in a 4.00/4.030" bore and very possibly hinder performance
where with the stock castings on stock valve seats, you can fit a 2.00/1.56" valve combo and still outflow/perform the TFS' for just a tad bit more money...

my $0.02

I checked into them but ended up going with AFR's. I spoke with a well known engine builder that built motors for a couple friends of mine and he had the heads there when we were at his shop. They were sent to him by Trick Flow to be tested before they were released and he felt that they were a pretty poor head. He even said that the valves and springs were cheap. Just his opinon.

I read about these heads when they first came out. The flow was 255 CFM for the unported "stock" castings. With those large combustion chambers, looks like they would be great for forced induction.

When I inquired about them, I was told unless supplying boost, the stock castings would be a better dear for the NA, if not wanting to go up to an AFR head...Although there's more meat to where you could buy the TF's and send them to Lloyd Elliot, or somewhere to get ported....
