Throttle Body Bypass - Advanced Question My '97 B4C no longer has the original radiator. The replacement one does not have the port below the radiator cap that normally goes to the throttle body. Normally, when performing "bypass surgery" , that port would be plumbed to the steam line that runs along the intake manifold to the back of the engine.
I read somewhere that it's a "must" to do this because you will get hot spots in the heads that can cause head gasket failures. Is this true, or is it OK to leave the steam line open (or remove it entirely)?
