Default Head Help!!

I'm trying to decide what heads to put on my Lt1. Right now i have all the bolt ons, 12 bolt, 3200 stall, built tranny and a 150 dry shot. It is a convertable and i have a 8 point cage. I have a cc306 cam. I now am on a quest for 10s maybe more. Keep in mind this is not going to be a street car, I am going all out. I think I am going to use AFRs but I don't know what size. I was thinking the big 215s, but I don't know if that will be to big. I am switching the cam out for a big big solid roller, and i was thinking a sheetmetal intake would sit nicely on top. I am also switching to a 200-250 wet system. Any help on the head/intake setup would be great. I am going to run the stock bottom end, it only has 35xxx on it. Thanks for the help.

IMO,the 215's are way overkill for a stock bottom end. not saying it cant be done, but it's a bit much.

the 210 or 220 would probably be better.

Humm good question, call Dan or Dino at www.revxtreme.com or 813 628 0080. They have custom heads designed by Felber racing and may have a solution for you!

I would suggest the 220's at most. The 215 is way overkill for you stock displacement motor. The 220's will be about the upper limit. The 210's will probably net you the best gain, but all this is said without knowing your new BIG cam Specs... That would give us a better clue as to how the motor will run. If you were to keep the cc306 you would definately benifit more from the 210 with a little clean-up work.

Just my $.02

We keep the 195cc CNC ported AFR's in stock ready to ship. Very nice head, and should see some nice gains with your set up. They come assembled and the race port flows 280 @ .600 lift & 282 @.650. Let me know if I can help!

Thanks for the help I am going to talk to the guy who is going to grind my cam and I will get back with you and decide which heads would be best. Do u think the sheetmetal intake of a ported LT4 will be the better choice?
