Who has experienced converter lockup at WOT in 3rd?

Default Who has experienced converter lockup at WOT in 3rd?

Just trying to figure out why so many people say this shouldn't happen. Mine locks around 5600 rpms as seen on the dyno. At the track, it almost feels like it's going into another gear but it is clearly going into lockup. I have a couple other friends who experience the same thing. 1 has a 95 Z28 and the other has an '86 corvette.

I try to lock mine up around 100-200 from the finish line In a perfect world i would lock it up at 5,800-6,000 and go through the traps at 7,000

So you have to lock yours manually? We tried to program the lockup out of the computer but it still locked up.

with OBD-I it is programable. When I run OBD-II I have to lock manualy, Ed Write helped me out there

yes there is a company the converts Variable Pitch TH400s to lock-up. Afater all Lock-up is just a off shoot of that idea
