Default WHere to get some Nice SS Headers for my LT1?

I am looking for a new set of headers! These Jet hot's I got are CRAP, they rusted all over the place and they are not very old at all! I want to go back with some SS headers. WHO makes some decent SS headers? I am thinking of going with Sorties this time and I have looked at the SLP ones. Does anyone else make nice SS headers? Please tell me if you know of some Short or Long version? Thanks, lata, Ark

You're kidding that the jet hots rusted right? MAC makes a great mid length header for pretty short money. They come with a Y and are easy to install.

Don't get Stainless Steal and ceremic coated; a Kooks represenative went over why it was redundant a while ago. Kooks has a great reputation btw for SS headers

I am gona get Shorty SS headers and I am gona get them coated. I dont care if its redundunt. I have seen SS headers with Surface Rust. I dont want them to rust at all! Its Just that simple.
I think the shorty headers will spool the STS Turbo UP faster so thats Why I am going with Shortys.
I have Jet Hot headers NOW and they are rustin threw the Jet Hot Coating which is why I am going With SS headers.
I have seen lots of SS headers with Rust which is why I want to get them Coated.

I know that SLP makes some nice shorty headers in SS BUT does anyone else?

I think thats where I am at now!

Thanks, lata, Ark

DO they Make them In SS?

mitchotoole - I have NO idea what Happened? I am a fanatic with my car. I pamper everything! They started showing signs of rust after the first few months. I have bin very Un-happy with the rate at which these Headers have deteriated! They are NOT falling apart BUT there is MORE than a Little bit of Rust on them! That's Why I wana go with a coated SS header now.

Thanks, Lata, Ark

Pardon my ignorance, but by SS headers do you mean "shortie style"? If so yes the JBA headers are a shortie style header. If your headers were coated I am surprised they are showing signs of rust. I have some Hooker Super Competition Shorties on my Vette that only had the "high temp" paint on them. What a joke The paint began to literally cook off after only 30 seconds of the car running at idle

Thanks Glove! Damn! I am an idiot! At any rate, I think the JBAs would be a good choice for a shortie header. I am not sure if they are indeed stainless steel, but you can choose either the chrome plated or the coated version (the coated cost a bit more though I believe).
