Default Oversized Valve Benefits?

I am looking to have a set of stock LT1 castings ported locally to go along with an LT4 Hotcam kit. I am not looking for huge power, but the more the better. I would like to go to a 2.0/1.55 valve setup, but I am debating the gains to be had for the significant cost increase (valves and machine work).

What are your thoughts? Will I see a big advantage going with some bigger Manley Race-flo valves over the stock size?

Approximately how much is it to have the seats opened to the larger size and a 3-angle grind?

Thanks.
Mike

My RGR heads have 2.02/1.57 valves and made the power in sig. If you afford the bigger valves then you will get more cfm and make more power...how much depends on cam and other mods.

The bigger the valves, the more air you can get in and push out, thus allowing you to make more power.

Thanks for the replies.

I know that the bigger valve will flow more, but what I am wondering is if the gains are worth the $500 cnd it may cost me?
