Default What do you need for 350 rwhp?

Would be a dual exhaust setup with no cats.

doing a quick and dirty search it looks likes, cam, roller rockers and a slight port job.

Depends on what type of tranny and tune. Ported heads, LT4 Hot Cam, 1.6/1 RRs all boltons routinely makes 350 RWHP. CC306 Even more.

You can probly just do a big cam and make that power if you have full bolt ons and 1.6 rockers.

Porting isn't necessary. However, to do it without porting is going to require a pretty aggressive cam (comp306) and alot of RPMs (6200ish). It will be alot more fun to drive if you chose a more mild cam, and sacrifice those 20 peak ponies for 20 foot-lbs.

With the stock heads you can runa lto smaller than a 306, people have made that power with hot cams in six speed cars, its just when you put heads on it the bigger cams will shine but on stock heads, no real point.

Trans would be six speed, looking at a dana 36 or using the stock 10 bolt.

Complete car would only weigh about 2100lbs though so rear end isn't a issue.

I am sort of debating about wether to spend the extra cash and get a LS1 or go a little cheap and stay with the Lt1.

LS1!!!!! My 02 Z ran 13.2@106 stock. Takes too much for Lt1's to get that far but the LT1 can make gobs of tq and are more economical to work on...if you do away with the optishit.

Maybe he is picking this engine for a 240Z or something? Those are awesome and weigh only 2300 or so stock! If you have the option now, go LS1. Lots more power to begin with, you will probably have to spend around $750-$1000 to get the LT1 up to LS1 specs to begin with. The LT1 is more torquey, but with a car that only weighs 2100 pounds you shouldn't have to worry about that. Go LS1, they wake up a lot quicker to mods anyways. For 350RWHP on an LS1 all you need is all the boltons.

I am cam and full boltons only, stock heads/bottom end, and N/A. I put the numbers in my sig up. That was before I got a new opti and electric water pump though, so I might be making a little more.

LT1s can easily make 350rwhp. And they don't necessarily make more torque than LS1s, they just produce the torque lower in the band.

The easiest way to make 350 RWHP is to buy a Paxton supercharger for $2,700. Similar money, easier install than heads and cam.

Way overkill for 350rwhp. You can do it with just a cam. Plus, a h/c car is a hell of a lot more reliable and easier to tune than a blower car.
