Question on High stall (3000-3500) on Stock Heads/cam

Question on High stall (3000-3500) on Stock Heads/cam I was told, My car being a 94 LT1..Does not Work well with a high stall, With the stock Heads/Cam...I was told that I should not go over 2600 as long as i have the stock Heads/Cam, because it wouldnt "utilize my sweet spot"...Im looking for guys who know LT1's to help me out here..being that LS1's have MUCH different heads...What do you think?? is this true? Should I stick with a smaller stall?

I run a Vigi 3200 in my 93, car rips hard as hell for what it is on stock 3.23s. I also took .5 off my times on street tires, no tricks, 17s up front, sway bar still in, all in a heavy *** Trans Am. Those gears, stall and a set of Long tubes can put your car in the 12s. I ran a 8.58 in the 1/8 on a 1.86, ran 13.6 on a shitty 2.1 sixty, no headers, stock cat and stock 3.23 gears.
