Default 1.5/1.6 rocker question

a friend of mine just got all new top end, 230/236 cam, ported heads that flow 'bout 260, comp r lifters, comp987 springs, but the guy that sold him this stuff said that he put this info into desktop dyno and said that he wouldn't benefit from getting 1.6rr's, so he ended up buying comp pro mag 1.5's.

is ths true? i've always thought 1.6 over 1.5's will create quite a difference, especially with cam and heads.

1.6's will help, it acts as a multplier of lift. Take your lift, divide it by 1.5, then multiply it by 1.6 and that will be the "new lift". desktop dyno is a joke.

Gangly is right. D-top dyno is ****. the worst $30 I ever spent.
but also the guy will want to check with the cam maker. 1.6 might be too much lift and have piston to valve clearance issues, especially since the heads were worked and have possibly been milled.
