Just found the problem with mine also . . . rotor in the opti was melted due to high heat from opti bearing failure. I believe the bearing failed because it's seal was hard and allowed water from the leaking waterpump seal to enter it.

damn those screws oh well all better now saves me from buying another opti, hey cal, only 160 on the salt flats? how fast have you had it on the road? Buried my speedo on the way to palm springs a couple of times... nice long straights, no cops, its nice... damn i need a 200mph speedo...

In the 150 mph class at the Bonneville Salt Flats, you are not supposed to exceed 160 mph, so I had to throttle back some. Even then I came very close to being disqualified. So who knows how fast I could have went at full throttle. The fastest I've went on a public road is 140, but obviously I could have went faster. 160 is actually pretty good on salt, though. Another thing is, with a given car, you can go 15 to 20 mph faster on pavement than salt. Eventially I'm going to go back and shoot for 200 mph, but I have to install a full cage, fire system, speed rated tires and a parachute first; as well as buy a better fire suit.
