Trans mount
Trans mount hey i own a auto 97 trans am and like any 17 yr old wiht a fast car i race it. recently at the races i broke my trans mount. the rubber piece completly broke off the metal plate. i want to get a polyurthene transmission mount but i cant find one for my car. if anyone knows a site or a place that sells polyurethane transmission mounts for a automatic 97 trans am i would appreciate if u can contact me... thanks

If you go poly, get the Prothane over the ES. I recently researched this topic and people complain of major vibrations with the Energy Suspension mount over the Prothane. I got mine from Thunder Racing, just as FireHawk #7 usggested.
thanks the thunder racing site, i tried the local part stores like auto zone, pep boys, murrays but non of them had a polyurethane trans mount. thanks for the help and the site
I would recommend going to your local GM dealership and buying a LS1 tranny mount. I had the ES mount and the vibrations were awful! Since I put in the LS1 mount, the vibration is gone and the LS1 mount does have an interlocking design in case you break another one. I can't comment on the prothane brand since I have had no experience with it. I read somewhere that ES had discontinued production because there design was out of spec from the original GM specs
