I am getting ready to take my block in for some maching. But I couldn't seem to figure out how to remove the cam and crank gear? Can anyone help me out? Thanks

If you have the timing cover off and you can't seem to pull the cam out, you probably forgot to take off the cam plate that prevents the cam from moving forward. Its held in by 2 bolts and it can be easy to miss.

I got those out, they were held in by torqe head bolts right. Are they just supposed to fall out?

Yes, they are held in by Torks Head bolts. They are not supposed to just fall out though.

For the cam take three 5/16-18 x 4" bolts and thread them into the three holes on the cam. That will allow you to get the leverage you need to wiggle it out. As for the crank gear, a three jaw pulled should pop that sucker right off. But if the hub is still on the crank you will need to remove the bolt and get a hub puller and put a 1/4" extension into the hole the bolt came out of for the pullers pressure point.
