I have the dreaded lt1 leak just underneath the egr pipe. I have bought new manifold and I waiting on 58mm throttle body... I live in Nevada so, smog checks are a must. Maybe someone with more knowledge of the lt1 engine can tell me if I can block them off and remove pipe would the car pass a smog check.

 

I think most people that have blocked their EGR knew they weren't going to a smog check so they would never know if it passed or not. I would think it could if you still had cats.

 

I think you can get by without it unless they do a visual and see its not connected.
