Default Heads and cam specifics- how much power?

Aiight, here are the spec's on a heads and cam combination that i found from Trick Flow. I found this combination on the Summitracing website. The specs are as follows:

Trick Flow's hydraulic roller camshaft with a 246°/254° duration at .050, .558/.558 in. lift, with 1.5 ratio rockers and a 112° lobe separation.

Cylinder Head Material: Aluminum
Cylinder Head Finish: Natural
Combustion Chamber Volume (cc): 72
Intake Runner Volume (cc): 195
Intake Valve Diameter (in): 2.02
Exhaust Valve Diameter (in): 1.60
Outside Diameter of Outer Spring (in): 1.460
Valve Seat Machine Style: 3-angle

Now my question is- is this going to make a good amount of power or should i be looking for something else to use??

weird... where did you find this package? im looking at the summit catalogue and they have trickflow heads for the lt1 with 62cc combustion chambers, 195cc intake 75cc exhaust and 2.02 and 1.60 valves... the heads assembled with valves, springs, retainers, locks, guideplates and 3/8th studs are $1359 . what are the prices for what you found?

Well a SBC roller cam should fit just fine, and the heads can be made to fit an LT1, if somone had a cam like that, and heads that flowed about 300CFM, I'd expect about 510 HP on a 350 or 355

Flywheel Horsepower of course 440 Rear wheel. If you look at old posts on here they name the shops that will convert a Small Block Chevy head to an LT1... What they do to do that????lol

i have another question... how would that sbc cam fit? wouldnt you have to change over to an electric waterpump since the lt1 has a cam driven water pump? also what about the optispark on a 94 firebird? doesnt that have something to do with the cam also?

well on a nonvented opti the distributor is driven off a splined shaft, that shaft enters the cam's timing chain gear, not the cam, on a vented opti its driven by the cam dowel, so you would need a SBc cam with a LOOng dowel

as for the price converting heads you will have to find a place that does it and call them, I have no clue.

Heads and cam like that would need a 383 or 396?

getting regular sbc heads to reverse cooled is EXPENSIVE! Why do you think you don't see many people running around with Brodix Track 1s hogged to hell?

WOW, where to start. First of all that cam is HUGE and you don't need something that big. Second the "Combustion Chamber Volume (cc): 72 " will drop your stock compression like crazy. If you did pay to have the heads work for the lt1 and you bolted that setup on, I'd say somewhere around 320-340rwhp MAX.

Ok, now lets talk about your goals with your car and what mods you have and will buy prior to adding the heads cam. If you just want a mid 11 sec setup(n/a) on the stock bottem end that you can daily drive I'd look into one of Lloyd Elliots packages. www.eportworks.com is his website. Give us some more information and we can help you out better on what would work best for you.
