Question about cam and headers
Question about cam and headers Okay guys, I am planning a buildup of my engine and I am going to start rounding up parts as I go. I live in the Chicago suburbs and I need to keep my car emissions legal. I am looking at the Lloyd Elliot Stage 2 heads and then the CC306 cam w/ 1.6 roller rockers. Will this cam pass emissions w/ an advertised 230/244 duration or should I step it down a notch to the CC305 or the Hotcam kit. Also, I am ordering my Pacesetter longtube headers in the next couple of weeks and I heard these headers can interfere with the fuel lines? Is this true, and if so, what have you guys done to correct the problem. Thanks in advance for any advice offered and I apologize for the long post.
welcome to the board, i see that was your first post. i believe that the hotcam is the largest hacm you can put in before you have worry about emissions....could be wrong though. PM me if you want an awesome shop in Chi-Town, it's in Orland Park...

in st louis my buddy passed with the cc306. a tune and cats are all thats needed. as long as no codes a showing up they wont be able to tell anything and also raise your idle a little bit so the lope is less noticeable.
