New bottom end? Help parts?? I need a LT1 gurus' wisdom here.
i need a new bottom end for my lt1 motor
355ci block
what all do i need?
options on the motor
5.7 rod
24cc dome
12cc dome
-5 flat top
6.0
-7cc dome
-5cc flat top
6.125
-5cc flat top
6.2
-6cc flat top
-5cc flat top
What should i go with?
i am cluessless on what i need to order. I would like to go with forged internals. run a little higher compression 11:1?
i plan on spraying a 175 shot if that helps.

i'm building a forged 355 right now,
i have 52.5 cc chambers and ordered a -12 reverse dome (i think) piston to give me a 10.2:1 compression, going to deck my heads, and block to get it up to around 10.5:1 hopefully. i wanted a little higher but had problems finding correct pistons for that chamber size. people online say they run 11:1 and higher but call local machine shops and ask them. reverse flow cooling heads help but an lt1 with 11:1 will ping. stay in the 10's. stock 10.5:1 is premo !
