im working on replacing my optispark right now i had tried to order the msd unit no luck, so i got the summit one, i have a 93 and i have to remove the harmonic to remove the bottem bolt to remove the optispark, i was wondering if there were any tricks to gettin the harmonic off on the lt1, i have taken them off on other engines, but i put the puller on and i crank with a breaker bar but it will not break loose. thanks

My buddy has a 97 Firebird former V6 car that we put an LT1 into. The motor starts breaking up at around 5500 rpm... kinda like it has hit a rev limiter. Sometimes it will power through, sometimes it won't.
The motor has 34K on it, and we put a new optispark and MSD wires on it when we put it in. It has broke up at high RPMs since day one. Here are the new parts since:
Plugs
Coil
Wiring Harness
MAF
Injectors
Fuel Pump
Still does it. Could it be a bad Opti from GM? Would the MSD cap and rotor help? We are lost and my buddy is getting sick of throwing money at the car.
