Angry Intake manifold

Hey guys,
I got an intake manifold off ebay that I am going to port to 58mm, and also port the runners in. I picked it up for 60 bucks (with shipping) Its painted up and looks cool......so whate ever. Here is my problem. This intake manifold is off a 1993 LT1. There is a gap on the top of 94-97 LT1 manifolds for the fuel rails to connect to the opposite side of the manifold. This manifold is missing this gap. Will this manifold work on my 1995 Z-28?

I believe the difference is in the fuel rail's I have a 93 and my fuel rails sit more to the front of the intake my buddy has a 97 and the fuel rails sit further to the rear also where the fuel line hook up is diffrent so you might run into a problem there.

The problem is in the fuel rails. The 92-93 LT1's had the crossover on the rear of the rails, whilst the 94-97 LT1's had the crossover on the front of the rails, hence the need for a recession in the top of the manifold to accommodate.

Your fuel rails aren't going to bolt up to it. The bolt holes are rail positions are the same, but they won't sit down far enough to bolt in/get the injectors in the bungs because of the front crossover.

You could converto to a set of 92-93 fuel rails, which would only take a bit of minor work to the fuel lines to move the connection point to the driver side of the manifold, or buy the proper year specific manifold you need.

Hey man I made the same mistake, sorta. I bought the wrong fuel rail off of ebay. Want to trade fuel rails? Mine are a polished set. Look real nice. This could solve our problems.
