Default Does my car have a MAF sensor

Hey all

I just finished converting my 3.4 to a 5.7 , just completed the fun task of getting rid of airbag lights and ABS. anyway, Now i can concentrate on how the car is running, i suspect it is the optispark, and wires, or maybe injectors. Before i go through that ... i want to make sure i am not missing a piece . I was looking through my haynes manual and i found this picture, and it says it is for 97 and earlier LT1's. I normally would just accept the manual but since i have the 1993 things are usually different, also i cannot find a connector that would plug into this sensor.

any help on this would be appreciated, the car is just not running... right... It is prolly the optispark/injectors/wires. here goes another grand crap.

thanks all!

Lt1's are supposed to have maf sensors yes, I believe they are the same 1's that are in ls1's too.

If your engine is a 93 lt1 it runs by speed density, not maf (unless someone has tried to do the conversion, then thats a whole nuther mess).

If the engine is off a 1993 it is NOT run by a MAF, its off speed density.

Does your motor have a fuel rail cross over at the front of the intake manifold? If no, its a 93 and you dont need a maf...that is of course its been swapped over to the 94+ style intake manifold which isnt very likely.

the check engine light is not on, and there are no current codes. this is a great point, if the optispark / injectors/ wires were broken wouldent the computer know that and yell at me.
