Definitely a little low compared to what I've seen on Dynojets.

I could see why the other guy could make the mistake.. you don't really "put down" flywheel horsepower, you put it "out" since it's not going down to the wheels... that's what I think at least.

who cares about dyno numbers, some dynos read low, others read high. Take it to the track it should trap 77-79 in the 1/8 and 96-99 in the 1/4

Thats why people should use the actual term for engine horsepower. Its called brake horsepower ( BHP ) and doesnt cause this confusion.

If it doesnt do better than my 91 did (14.2@95), stock for stock, I'm may have to sell it and put my thirdgen back on the road.

For a stock auto w/ a dirty paper filter that doesnt seem too bad. Maybe a little low but nothing I would worry about. There are many things that could cause the loss of a few ponies on a car thats been around for 8yrs, even if it has lower mileage. Some lt1s live harsh lives for example, you never know how previous owners treated the car, especially when it was new.

I wouldnt worry much about the low dyno #'s, just think of it as an excuse to start modding.

i put down 255/299 stock. on a dynojet. if i was on a mustang dyno then my numbers would be pretty close to yours. try a dynojet somewhere to make sure.

Those look like #'s for a stock 2 valve GT 5 speed. Those seem a little low, even for an auto.

if you got 70k...theres this thing that a local shop does that cleans out your injectors and combustion chambers, it costs like 70 bucks here (southern IL) to do and when i had it done to my stang at 60k it felt like the car gained 15 rwhp.

No need to suggest that the guy find a dynojet to dyno on, either. (on top of the fact that he was already on one)

Wow, you only put down 200hp? you need to find a dynojet so your magic cool internet dyno number is higher then 200hp!
I mean, come on.

Obviously it looks like the guy's in need of a minor tuneup, but 233hp isnt too far off from what an older LT1 is going to put down through an auto.
