The conversion comes with all the gaskets and things for the upgrade. It also comes with the 1.6 rockers. The only thing I can tell you is that this kit does not favor well with automatic cars. It seems to do ok in 6-speeds. The only option I would do is order the CNC ported LT-4 kit from Scoggs and dickey and use the 847 cam. You would have to get the right springs for the cam, but if you go through Kris at SDPC, he can take care of any and everything you want/need.

AFR lt4 heads

skip the extreme duty timing set. its a waste of money. Go cloyes double roller if you want a step up from stock. The setup will work with autos, just needs a good tune and a decent sized stall. 3200ish and get your tune from ed wright, pcmforless, ion...or similiar. Spring-wise...just get them from comp or SPDC when you call them. Good luck.

why the LT4 conversion?.. with the money spent on that, you could build a stock LT1 to be MUCH better. right?

Another option is the famed Lloyd Elliot Package. If you got the LE2/3 setup, plus a decent valvetrain you would spend approximately the same money, make more hp, and have a setup made especially for you. If I was going to spend close to 3K on my car (which I am) I would go that route.

I would talk to Lloyd Elliot. Biggest mistake in doing something like this is just throwing parts that you have "heard" makes great power. Lloyd can set you up with a specific combo to suit your needs.

Turn your LT1 into the engine it wants to be.
Have an LT1, but want an LT4? GM Performance Parts has what you need. These LT1-to-LT4 conversion kits bring the most out of your factory LT1 engine. The kits include LT4 cylinder heads with valves and springs, a red aluminum LT4 intake manifold, GM Performance Parts' hot cam with 1.6:1 ratio Bow Tie roller rockers, and all necessary gaskets. The result of all of these mods is 425+ proven horsepower!
