my 95 z ran 14.23 at 98 with 125k with cai headers and 3.42 cat back. why so slow any ideas.

 

If I had any clue, I wouldn't have asked. mileage notwithstanding, I neither have CAI, headers, gears, or catback on the car. Nor would I spend the money on that stuff to go .02 slower than I am without it.

Just gonna throw some plugs/wires at it and some other maintenance **** and wait for the weather to cool off more...I may not even bother modding it til winter.

 

Trap speed is fine, car prolly got hot or some thing. My 93 once tapped like 96, then the next time out was at 100MPH. Car gets hot it will kill power, weather sucks, it will hurt traps. LT1s also like to have an ice bag before they run. Head in the feezer, feet in the fire.

It'd suck for your header, cai, stall'd, tire'd car to lose to a stone stock 97 cuz you fell asleep at the light.

I know it ruined the Mach 1 guys' days, but they were cool about it.
