He said it was humid as hell... With better weather and a 2.0 60' he should be in the 13's.

I overheard someone with a weatherstation saying that the DA was like 2000-2700...something. Can't recall exactly, though I'm pretty sure it's not a good thing.

I ran in Muncie In the other sunday. I wondered why my mph was so low and I couldn't get into the 13s. (14.1 at best) But then again it was 93 degrees, 60 or so % humidity, a 20mph headwind, a dewpoint of 65 degrees, and a DA of 3200 and 3600 by 3pm.. Of course I don't own a F-body

Best of the night...humidity was down, yet the weathermachine guy said the DA was around 2900... I think his machine's broken.

Anyhow:

i think his trap speed is fine. but then again i run races in 5000 DA weather This past sunday i ran 14.10s - 14.20s @ 96-97mph....so theres a lil bit of comparison for u. I think for stock your MPH is good,if i remember correctly, its an A4?? 2.73 gear, i assume....if u compare my ET/MPH in 5000 DA, to yours in the high 2000s, for being bone stock you're car is running pretty good.

get some sticky tires, 3.42s at the least, and you'll cut 1.9 60's, if not better and be in the 13s.

that might explain why some people are thinking you MPH is low...youre losing a tiny bit of MPH w/ a 3.23 gear, but gaining it back down low, and w 2.15 60's, thats decent for a stock car. i still only cut 2.0s on good DA days. high 2.1s is my norm! our weather blows!!

you could also correct them to seal level conditions, if that helps compare yours to other peoples.
http://www.smokemup.com/auto_math/nh...on_factors.php
Your 14.30 @ 96 ~ 2700 DA would be 13.84 @ 99.25mph
whereas
My 13.80 @ 100 ~ 3800 DA would be 13.15 @ 104.93mph .7 and 5mph slower

see i think your MPH is there man, just gotta some more ET out of that thing. I do have mods tho, and oddly enuff, at my local track I am about .7 and 5mph faster than stock LT1s, so youre right where u should be i think!!

NOW GET SOME STICKIES & SPRAY IT!!!

If I could cool the car off completely, theres a 13.90-something in there at least... I've just gotta wait for the weather to cool down (tire wouldnt hurt either).

The tracks only 190-something feet above sea-level, I think.

damn, you are blessed my friend. we are at 3200ft above sea level, and jump for joy like small school children at recess when the DA drops below 4K. It sucks to know you have a low 13 sec NA car, but stuck in the high 13s bcuz of your elavation. hell your HUMID DA was lower than our actual elavtion!!

how did the car run against other f-bodies??

No clue, I didn't get lined up against an Fbody all night, much less an LT1 to compare to.

Luckily I seem to catch Mach 1 guys sleeping... My 14.2's to their 13.8 and 9 respectively...and they still lost. heh.

If the track was much longer, they'd have had it, but good lord.. theres no excuse for .540 RTs.

.060 was the best RT I could muster.

(it's weird getting used to the slips, b/c the track about an hour away uses .500, the one 20 mins away uses .000)

yea, right after they changed it, i cut a .020, and could not figure it out.....i was like that was a hell of a light, how did i go red, and why did the tree stay green, wtf.....

i still automatically add .500 when i say it. you cant change what you have known for years that easily.

don't lie, you were lined up agaisn't me all night , but i didn't have my tires, so was worthless for me, hehe. best run was a 13.53 with a 2.08at 99 or something. Wasn't fun without my dr's on the new stall
