CryO2 Fuel bar, help with detonation?
CryO2 Fuel bar, help with detonation? I know much of you aren't high on using the CryO2 bulb in the intake but what about this fuel bar. Wouldn't it cool the fuel before the fuel went into the cylinders and wouldn't this decrease the chances of detonation? That way you wouldn't have to use race gas all the time. What do you guys and girls think?

good advice. fix the original problem don't mask it.
typically cold fuel will build HP and probably help fight detination, but should not be used as a remedy. i don't know if cold fuel will cause any problems with the ECU or EFI or not. does anyone have any advice on that? i have thought about using an old school cool can myself but have thought that this would be a nice way to do it as well.

they used cold fuel in carbs because it would cool the air charge to biuld power. The same rules don't apply to us FI people. Colder fuel injects directly into the cumbustion chamber where it will not effect the air charge. It probably would help to cool the combustion chambers to fight detonation but still it's just a mask. In actuality you "want" high CC temps to help ignite the fuel better.
