Has anyone here done this with the MSD's? I'm trying to figure out what kit i need to get long enough cables, especially for the passenger side. Will the universal MSD work... I'm hoping to use the 8.5mm Super Conductors...

 

Yes they will. You just need a loom big enough for the wires. I did a set on my friends TA with taylor 8mm wires. PITA... Take your time. If you get frustrated take a step back...

 

yes you need to take your time to make it perfect, i didnt do that the first time and my serp belt ate 2 of my wires.

 

omg, you guys are right, these are a PITA. I ended up buying the taylor 8mm universal and a package of opti boot ends. It is taking me forever to actually get the boot onto the cable far enough... Do you guys have any hints on how to get these boots on easier, becuase it is taking me forever to even do one!

 

u need to be patient...when we did mine some of them were a bitch..u need to just push hard to get the damn thing in...and im not sure if u already rerouted the wires but i got a set of MSD 8.5 super conducters after i burned right throuhg my old ones and i routed them normally but was very careful...u can get this sleeve to go around the wires and they are heat proof so teh headers wont burn them...just my .02
