Well, It looks like I'm buying a new Opti, and I hear it's the best time to install an electric water pump, so I was wondering, what all is involved in installing one and what all will I need to buy? I noticed some people are installing switches (I think) for them, is this needed?

 

if you get the hd unit you will have to cut your fan shroud a little, no big deal. i have mine wired through a switch along with my fans on another switch so i can cool the motor if something goes wrong. the only down side was when i first put it in i would forget to turn it on for a second. use a switch with a light on it if you are going to wire it that way so you will know when it is on with no question.
