Problems, Problems, and More Problems! Please Help!
Problems, Problems, and More Problems! Help! The other day I pulled up to a stoplight and looked down to see that my car was almost at 260. A hose blew and steam came out of the hood, etc etc.
I get it back to the house to find a broken hose,(the hose that goes to the heater core from the water pump). I replaced it and flushed the system. I pour new coolant into it and notice that it is just coming back out from behind the water pump.
I pull the water pump and see that it is toast. I replace the water pump and again put new coolant in it. I made sure to fill the water pump up before installing the thermostat.
I go to start the car and all it does is turn over(sounds as if there is no spark, not 100% sure though). After about 3 or 4 seconds i let off the key, it sputters like it kinda wants to start, and then dies. I pull the intake elbow to see white smoke drifting out of it and a lil out of the throttle body.
I made an attempt to keep coolant off of the opti. But as you know that kinda damn hard when the thing is right under the water pump.
