intake backfire?

intake backfire? alright im getting backfire through the intake manifold. im leaning on it being the rocker arms being to tight and throwing off the timing for the valves.
my question is this. if its not this would i have a burnt/bad valve somewhere? im hoping its just the rocker arms. but i have a feeling it isnt those.

I have the same problem and heres a list of things that can cause it...
Ignition:icm,wires,plugs,opti,coil
Mechanical:Bent valve,improperly adjusted valves(rockers),timing chain a tooth off.
Lean condition(fuel psi)
Hope this helps a little what mods do u have how new are parts listed above?
