Default Header question...

Will 96 SLP shorty headers work on a 95 LT1? I believe it would just be the an extra AIR fitting or am I incorrect?

They will fit, but there is only one AIR fitting on each header, same as 94+.

96 had 2 cats and the 95 i believe could have had 1 or 2 depending on when in the year it was built, 2 was more towards the end i believe. so you can get them to fit..

The 96-97 headers are a waste of time and money. With the routing scheme plug access sucks and the gains are minimal at best.

Big SHow is correct. Y-pipe mounting is different and makes it increasingly hard on plug axcess because the primaries have to be routed slightly different. AIR fittings are different, O2 bungs are different locations as well. MOst people go from 96-97 to a single cat setup for simplicity and ease. BTW, shorty's suck, go long tubes with AIR attachments in a heartbeat for less money in some cases and far more performance.
