exhaust cut out

i have a 97 z28 with flowmaster muffler and tailpipes and 1.5 roller rockers.im thinking of putting a 3" cut out in.i only intend on using it at the track but was wondering if it would hurt performance on the street being capped off?

also has anyone heard of a magnacharger being installed on a lt1 motor like the ones being made for ls1's?

id love to be able to do that here but would be pulled over too many times that i dont need right now.

when I did a cutout on my LT1 when it was stock I picked up .2! when I did it to my stock 2002 TA, I picked up .2 as well

a cutout will not harm in any way, only help(remember to get ears checked by doctor once a month). Remember you are fuel injected and not carb'd so the comptuer will learn for you and compensate.

If money isn't an issue, you could always get an e-cutout. Just hit the switch when you don't want to be too loud, although mine stays open all the time
