Is it the fuel pump? OK here is the deal the car won't start and the fuel pump isn't priming or working at all for that matter.....its gettin power at the relay for 2 seconds when you turn the switch on like it should.......its getting power at the connection block before the rear end for 2 secodns like it should (i checked the connection inside the car not underneath where the connection is actually made) is the fuel pump bad? I got hit and then we fixed the car and went to start it and it won't start.......HELP ME ASAP

i tried the connector to the batt. and the pump wouldn't kick on.......put a new pump in tonight and everything gets power but the new pump still won't kick on................i'm ******* stumped.....i checked the wires directly to the pump and they get power w/ the switch on but the pump won't prime......i even tried to hold the pump out of the tank and it doesn't do anything............i'm clueless..could the new pump be bad by chance?

so u checked for power at the pigtail connector?? sry, just trying to clarify.
i guess if you have power at the connector and the pump still won't prime then it's time for a new pump.
normally u would have fuel pressure problems instead of the pump just completely stopping. that's why i think it's an electrical problem and i'd hate for u to buy a new pump and it not work either.

z28boy had it nailed.........i checked and checked all the grounds after i put anew pump in and it still wouldn't prime......so finally i took the seat out and carpet back out and decided to pull the wiring out of the plastic loom stuff and someone had spliced in to it and the ground had just came out of hte butt connector........man was i mad! hooked it up, hit the ignition switch and the pump primed........now i just have to hook the fuel lines back up to the pump and i'm good to go thanks for all your guys help!
