spark problems I Was Driving Home From My Gf's House On The Freeway When I Feel That The Car Is About To Stall,that's When I Start To Switch Lanes And That's When I See A Bunch Of Sparks Coming Out Of My Exhaust And As Soon As I Get To The Right Shoulder Car Turns Off.got Car Towed Home At 4:00am And As Soon As I Get Home I Open The Hood And I See That A Spark Plug Is Black...and Before This Happened A Couple Days Earlier I Had Found A Spark Plug Wire Laying On The Headers It Was Partially Burned. Can A Bad Spark Plug And A Burned Spark Plug Wire Could Have Caused This???

i had a simiira problem with my car my number 5 wire i think was touching the header..it burned completly through it and i was having real bad stumbling and boging... i tried to get on it and it just stayed...but i never say sparks shooting out the back of my exhaust....just could see little sparks where it was burned throug...that was where the spark was goin out of....so i got new wires re routed them and havent had a problem since..but i dont know about ur car tunring off on u...mine just idled funny

Sounds like a bad plug and wire. Now as far as sparks shooting out the exhaust, how many miles on are on the car and does it still have the original cats? They may be plugged. Worth checking out, if they are plugged you can burn a piston pretty quick.
