Default Cam Bearings

Ok my engine has 144k on it (93 lt1), and i have a cam i want to put in, but havent because i don't have the time to do anything if it were to spin a bearing. My question is (bear in mind i know its not the best/smartest thing to do) if I were to drop the engine and replace all the cam bearings and then put in the cam, what kind of problems would i run into? Would i still run the same risk because i did not replace the other bearings? I think from most things ive read failure happens due to a spun rod bearing because it didn't get enough oil since a cam bearing was on its way out, but i don't have any personal experience??? Thanks in advance

If you really want to go through all that trouble, I'd replace everything. Or, just go ahead and put the cam in.....it will either last a while, or worse case scenario you will spin a bearing or something, but at least you tried before you tore it all apart for nothing- thats what I would do if i was on a tight budget like it sounds like you are.
