question about le2

question about le2 ok im interested in the le2 package but it said something about cores..what does that mean..does it mean i have to give him my stock heads?..i dont want to, id like to keep my original parts..can someone explain this?
also my supporting mods are
comp lifters,timing set,pr's,rockers
lt4 intake
hooker lt's
lt4 knock module
slp loudmouth but i plan to go borla
4k stall
bbk TB
fipk
cat
opti,plugs,wires
pulleys
t-stat
36lb injectors
will i see the 400+hp mark??

He will port your heads for you. He will also make you a cam, so there is no need to send him your cam.

If you use the stock LT1 castings you cannot use the LT4 intake. I think it is POSSIBLE to machine the intake to work with those heads, but not worth the time to do so. Just have Lloyd port your intake for you.
You have to send him your heads for porting. He custom grinds a new cam for you.

I spoke with him for a week, and learned a lot about my car. Don't be scared, he is a nice guy. Ask him what other things you will have to buy to make your LE2 package run. Your looking at a few more misc things.

His packages are for porting YOUR heads and a new cam. A core charge is so that he can port heads and send them to you. Then you send him your heads and get the core charge back or not give him your heads and he keeps the core charge. Just like when you buy an alt or starter at autozone. You bring the old one and you get your core charge back

Last time I talked to Lloyd he told me that its $300 if he supplies the heads for you instead of sending yours in. However he doesn't refund the money when you send the heads to him, he will tell you that you can sell them and try to get your money back. I don't think this has changed since I talked to him a couple months ago.
