ok im interested in the le2 package but it said something about cores..what does that mean..does it mean i have to give him my stock heads?..i dont want to, id like to keep my original parts..can someone explain this?

He will port your heads for you. He will also make you a cam, so there is no need to send him your cam.

 

I notice the packages about le3 says that the cam he makes will be better than the gm847 because it makes power sooner and longer through the rpms....can anyone back this up?

 

Should definitely see 390+ rwhp with an LE2. Most of the LT1 cars I've seen with the LE2 package and supporting mods dyno around 415 rwhp./

I noticed you have an LT4 Intake. How are you running an LT4 intake on LT1 heads?

 

I believe he can port a set of cores he has, but would like yours sent to him when you get them off. Call him and find out. He may add a few hundred to the price for his cores, then refund it back once he gets your heads back.

 

i dont have one..i said those were going to be my supporting mods..when all said and done..

ok now im completely confused..for 1650 i get my stoc heads ported and a cam?..or for 1650 do i get a new set of heads and a cam..and i have to give ihm my stock stuff?

 

If you use the stock LT1 castings you cannot use the LT4 intake. I think it is POSSIBLE to machine the intake to work with those heads, but not worth the time to do so. Just have Lloyd port your intake for you.

You have to send him your heads for porting. He custom grinds a new cam for you.

 

oh ok i thought those prices where cheap for brand new heads. how much extra do you tihnk it will be to port my intake?

I spoke with him for a week, and learned a lot about my car. Don't be scared, he is a nice guy. Ask him what other things you will have to buy to make your LE2 package run. Your looking at a few more misc things.

His packages are for porting YOUR heads and a new cam. A core charge is so that he can port heads and send them to you. Then you send him your heads and get the core charge back or not give him your heads and he keeps the core charge. Just like when you buy an alt or starter at autozone. You bring the old one and you get your core charge back

Lloyd is a great guy and you'll love that LE3 cam if you go that route. Might be a bit big for stock displacement

 

Last time I talked to Lloyd he told me that its $300 if he supplies the heads for you instead of sending yours in. However he doesn't refund the money when you send the heads to him, he will tell you that you can sell them and try to get your money back. I don't think this has changed since I talked to him a couple months ago.

 

so itd be 1650 if he used my heads,1950 if he uses a set of his own.
